Marble Stone

This 8x11 inch print showcases the traditional ebru marbling technique in a stone pattern. Created by floating mixed blue and green pigments on water, then adding green and black ink on top to create bold organic shapes, this print features layered marbled textures with darker forms flowing over swirled color beneath.

The stone pattern is one of the foundational designs in Turkish marbling. The green and black shapes create dramatic contrast against the marbled blue-green background, with both layers visible and creating depth. Each flowing form is created through the ancient art of water marbling.

As with all ebru prints, this piece is entirely one-of-a-kind. The spontaneous nature of the marbling process means the exact patterns and color combinations can never be perfectly reproduced, making each print a unique work of art.
